What is PackageForge?

PackageForge is a graphical installation and packaging tool for the Symbian platform. It simplifies the work of creating installation packages (SIS files) for Symbian OS based phones.

Installation packages can be created for Flash Lite, Python for S60 and C/C++ applications. Any type of file can be included in the package.

PackageForge takes all your application files, compiles and builds them into one single installable package (SIS file). This is the standard and recommended way of installing files and applications to Symbian based phones.

PackageForge allows the user to author the installation packages using Symbian package definition files (PKG files). These files contains all information about the installation package. The final installable package is then built from this definition file. This allows you to re-use, modify and edit existing packages.
